Opium Poppy

Among the most controversial plants in the world today are the opium poppy. This plant, with its lovely red and white flowers, have been called a blessing and curse. From the poppy comes the drugs codeine and morphine. Each of these drugs are extremely effective as a pain killer. However, one of the other drugs produce from the opium poppy is heroine. And there’s a million of heroine addicts in the world today.
